Successful Collaboration with Law Enforcement Agencies Across Europe

The LEAD Pro Project continues to make steady progress towards enhancing law enforcement operations across Europe. We are pleased to share that the project has already attracted the interest of key European institutions, such as the French Gendarmerie and the Estonian Police and Border Guard Service. These agencies have recognised the potential of the project to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, and we look forward to building relationships that will yield valuable results.

Our collaboration with the French Gendarmerie is especially promising, as we are keen to incorporate their expertise in areas such as border security, anti-terrorism operations, and criminal investigations. The Estonian Police and Border Guard Service, known for its innovative approach to technology and digital transformation, is equally enthusiastic about the project’s potential. Both agencies are eager to apply LEAD Pro’s solutions to real-world scenarios, which will help refine best practices and improve outcomes for law enforcement agencies across Europe.

This interest from leading agencies is encouraging and reflects the project’s ability to drive meaningful change. We are confident that these early collaborations will pave the way for broader adoption across other law enforcement bodies, further extending the reach and impact of the LEAD Pro Project.

LEAD Pro at the Digital SME Summit 2024
In addition to our work with law enforcement agencies, we were also pleased to present the LEAD Pro Project at the Digital SME Summit in December 2024. The summit brought together over 300 participants from a variety of sectors, including policy, business, academia, and civil society. Across eight panels, leading voices discussed the latest technological developments for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the growing need for a robust European digital infrastructure.
The 2024 summit highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to build a European digital ecosystem, a theme that aligns with the aims of the LEAD Pro Project. The summit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the project to a wider audience, strengthening its position within the broader digital transformation of Europe.
The discussions at the event, along with the feedback from participants, will inform the next stages of the project. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important conversation and look forward to the potential partnerships that may arise from this engagement.

Progress Report on Deliverables Submitted in the First 6 Months of the Project
As we enter the second half of the LEAD Pro Project, we are pleased to report significant progress on key tasks completed in the first six months. The ongoing commitment of our partners has ensured the efficient advancement of the project across various work packages.
In WP1 - Project Management and Implementation, led by NUUK the planned activities for the first six months have been successfully completed. This work package ensured the overall management and coordination of the project, with all tasks executed on schedule, allowing for smooth progress across all work packages.
In WP2 - Systems Requirement Specification and Use Case Analysis led by Iterato, the focus was on the development of system requirements and the analysis of key use cases. This foundational work was critical to aligning project outcomes with law enforcement needs. Seven deliverables were prepared and submitted, marking substantial progress in this area.
WP6 - Dissemination, Training, Exploitation, and Communications led by ISACA, has also made notable strides. This work package successfully initiated key dissemination activities and communication strategies. A comprehensive plan for future dissemination, training, and exploitation efforts was developed, with several initial communication materials already distributed to stakeholders.
Finally, in WP7 - Ethics, led by Lithuanian Police and NUUK, the ethical aspects of the project were addressed comprehensively. Key ethical considerations were integrated into the project's activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. With these foundational elements in place, we are on track to complete the remaining ethical deliverables in the coming months.

We look forward to the continued successful collaboration with all partners as we move into the next phase of the project.
